THE skincare

MICRONEEDLING

Micro-needling is used to treat and improve conditions like acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, and pigment issues.

This procedure creates controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to aid in the production of collagen and elastin. Benefits from Micro-needling include, reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, improved skin tone and texture and softer, younger- looking skin with fewer signs of aging. It can improve the appearance of uneven skin tone, acne scars and traumatic scars.

The frequency of micro-needling sessions will vary with the intensity of the treatment. Mild treatments may be repeated every 2 to 4 weeks. Deep treatments for scars may be repeated every 4 to 6 weeks. Approximately 48 to 72 hours after the treatment you'll have an increase in collagen production. It takes approximately four weeks to see noticeable results. Micro needling results are typically very long lasting as new collagen will last for several years.

PLASMA SKIN TIGHTENING

This plasma charge creates tiny "dots" on the skin which are placed strategically resulting in tissue retraction and tightening that can be seen immediately. The treatment does not cause any damage to the surrounding area

Although PPST is not as invasive as surgery, skin is actually removed so results can last as long as a surgical procedure. As with most procedures, results are not permanent and does not stop the skin from it's natural aging process; skin will continue to age over time.

Results can be seen immediately and the area will continue to improve over time.  Best results can be seen at the eight week mark, when the skin has fully healed.  Depending on the area and the skin required to treat, some clients can benefit from a small touch-up or additional treatment.  Touch ups and additional treatments can be booked after the eight week mark.

It is important to note that Plasma Skin Tightening is not for everyone! Similar to other cosmetic procedures, skin tone, genetics and medical conditions will determine ones eligibility. This procedure will not be performed on any individuals who are pregnant or nursing.  Darker skin tones will not be treated (consultations will be arranged to determine eligibility as there is a higher risk of hyperpigmentation (dark spots) or hypopigmentation (light spots) following treatment, particularly if the healing area is disturbed by scratching, scrubbing or picking.

It is important to note that lifestyle choices can alter and/or shorten the benefits of the treatment such as smoking, alcohol consumption and prolonged sun exposure.

MICRONEEDLING POST TREATMENT

Skin may be red for a few days post-treatment.  This is perfectly normal. It may feel like you have a sunburn.  Typically your skin will feel back to normal approximately 3-4 days after treatment. You will experience some skin peeling. Those looking to treat deep wrinkles, stretch marks, severe sun damage or scarring may need multiple microneedling treatments.  To ensure the safety of your skin, treatments are recommended four weeks apart.  This time period allows your body to repair and rejuvenate before the next treatment.

PLASMA SKIN TIGHTENING POST TREATMENT

A topical numbing agent will be applied to the treatment area to help ease any discomfort during the session.  "Dots" will be strategically placed with the device to achieve best results.  You may experience some discomfort on the areas being treated.  The session will last approximately one hour depending on the area treated.

Immediately after the treatment, the area may appear red and swollen with slight discoloration as well as tiny "dots" on the treated area.  You may experience a sensation similar to a mild sunburn.  Swelling may increase over the following 2-3 days. Scabbing and discoloration will fade within 5-7 days depending on the individual.  Results will be obvious immediately after treatment and will continue to improve up to the 8-week mark.  You will be provided with a care package and after care instructions.
